Dear Colleagues!

The Philippines is one of Russia’s important partners inSoutheast Asia. The growth of population and income, urbanization, and active involvement in global trade make the Philippines an attractive market for Russian companies.

Russian-Philippine agricultural trade relations are activelydeveloping. In 2022, trade in agricultural products, primary products and food between Russia and the Philippines increased by 14% as compared to 2021. Our task is to maintain the positive dynamicsand ensure the growth of mutual trade between our countries.

The expansion of Russian-Philippine trade and intensification of cooperation require building long-term ties at the level of businesses. Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the Federal Center Agroexport have organized a business mission of Russian exporting companies to the Philippines. I would like to wish all the participants of the business mission fruitful negotiations and profitable contracts.
SERGEY LEVIN
Deputy Minister of Agriculture
of the Russian Federation
Dear friends!

The Philippines is one of the highest priority markets for Russian companies among Southeast Asian countries. The country’s populationis 115 million people and increases by 1.6% annually. This creates a situation of continuous increase in demand for food products, the import of which exceeded 20 billion USD in 2022. Over the past 5 years, the Philippines has increased purchases of agricultural
products by 57%.

The growing demand for imported food products is shaping the interest of Russian exporting companies in the Philippine market. But the Philippine market itself is a new destination for Russian food supplies. Therefore, it is necessary to create conditions for interaction between Russian and Philippine businesses. For this purpose, theMinistry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the Federal Center Agroexport have organized a business mission of Russian exporters to the Philippines.

I am sure that direct contacts between business representatives of thetwo countries will contribute to building long-term mutually beneficial relations. The Russian-Philippine food trade has a great future, and our business mission is an important step for its development.
